The Louisiana Auctioneers Association (LAA) will held their annual convention at the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville, La. We are waiting on the Paragon to send available dates.
**We will be sending out an email to all members when we have available dates from the Paragon Resort to see what will work best with everyone's schedule.***
Dear Louisiana Auctioneers Association Members it is with great sadness that we have to send this announcement regarding our upcoming 2020 LAA Convention. Due to the Governor's orders and the COVID-19 virus we are forced to postpone the June 5th & 6th Convention in Marksville, La. We have been unable to reach the Paragon Convention coordinators to get available new dates, when we have this information we will send out mailers and email notifications.
During this trying to time we hope all our all our fellow auctioneers and staff are safe and prospering. The auction profession/auction prices are still standing firm during these times and if you need any assistance or guidance we are here to help.

Scott is a real estate partner and auctioneer for Hall and Hall Auctions. He has more than 30 years of auction experience. He attended Missouri Auction School in 1986 and opened an auction firm shortly thereafter. Scott was awarded the 1997, 2002, and 2014 Auction of the Year awards from the NAA, as well as the prestigious Rose Award presented at the Certified Auctioneers Institute.
Scott has served as an instructor for CAI and Trustee for the NAA Education Institute. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of the NAA. He holds auction and real estate licenses in 26 states. Scott and his wife, Krista, reside in Eaton, Colorado, with their three children.

2) Improve Image/Get Professional – If you are a member of an Association, you probably feel it will give you ground to stand on when you make a sales pitch. All Talk, No Action, unless you utilize what is available to you. If you are an active member in that Association, you are involved & passionate about the cause-this will help make you succeed. When you are involved in your Association, you gain a world of knowledge & information from the other members-networking. You gain knowledge from attending the conventions. And the more CORRECT knowledge you get, the more Professional you become. Develop and promote the highest standards of ethical business practices. Contribute to the progress and advancement of lawful actions.
3) Increase Business/Network – There we go again with that word “Network”. Meet others in your profession that are as passionate as you. The more we get to know others in our profession, the more we learn and can pass on to our clients or receive referrals from others in the Association.
